DAIMEI NAGASU (9) gets the call after resuming with a close second at this track, beaten just under a length by Makankosappo after being sent out an odds-on favourite. She beat several of these home there, including Megu and Gold Board, and with a placing from her only try at the distance she brings the cleanest recent form. AMAGO (2) has not been winning, but she worked home fairly from the rear at Funabashi and has enough track experience to be a genuine danger if sharper back to 800m. MEGU (7) is the proven track-and-trip runner, with three wins and three placings from twelve attempts, and her first-up fifth was sound enough to improve from. GOLD BOARD (11) adds depth after a long-odds third behind Makankosappo, and her established record at this track and distance keeps her in the winning conversation despite an inconsistent profile.
