TSUKAINO KIZUNA (2) returns from a break of 12 weeks. Genuine performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a third over 2600m at Ohi. Rates highly and a bold showing is expected. OPINION LEADER (6) comes here off a break of 11 weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 2100m at Kawasaki. Boasts a first-up record of four wins and four placings from eight starts. Capable of playing a major role. AUSTRO (8) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on December 23, finishing fifth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1400m at this track. Definite top-three chance. LUCKY DREAM (9) was in contention on the corner and finished second last time over 2000m at Himeji when resuming from a spell, beaten 2.5 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so he is a key runner.
