TORNADO ISLE (11) resumes from a spell of ten weeks. Could only manage to finish fourth at the latest run over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Commenced last prep with a minor placing at Niigata over 2000m. Has ability and is a chance to cause the upset. LORD TRIDENT (5) will find this a little tougher than his third on debut seven weeks ago, beaten 9 lengths at the end of 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Likely improver so another top-three finish is on the cards. RAISE TEMPEST (15) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in second over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Open to plenty of improvement.
