CHIMUGUKURU (5) produced a reasonable effort to finish 2.75 lengths away in third last start over 1400m at Hanshin when he made late ground. That followed a first-up win at Chukyo. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. BLACK JADEITE (1) is putting together some solid results. Finished third at Nakayama two starts back then scored by 1.75 lengths as favourite last time out over 1600m at the same track. Daisuke Sasaki scored on him last time and retains the mount. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. SHAYKH (14) returned from a spell last start with a strong win by one length over 1200m at Fukushima. Will be better for that latest run and must be respected. TSUNESAN (11) finished 13th two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1400m at this track, beaten just a neck. Another forward showing is anticipated.
