SAIKAN SANYU (7) is the one to beat after putting together two dominant wins at this track, each by six lengths, and his three-from-three record at this track and distance gives him the strongest overall form profile. The two-month gap is the only point to note, but he was heavily supported into very short odds-on territory last time and again looks well placed. HUBSCH (9) is the clear danger, having won a COND here as odds-on favourite after being beaten a head the run before, and his eight-start record reads strongly. KEN BETELGEUSE (8) brings different form through Urawa, where he was fourth twice, and the class drop plus return to a winning distance give him a genuine place-and-upside case. MR JOHN (5) improved sharply into fourth last start, is third-up, and his track-and-distance record makes him a sound minor hope if he builds again.
