ZENDANNO HAGEMI (12) turned in a fine effort to win by 3.5 lengths at this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat again in this suitable race. MANO LEA (4) scored two back at Monbetsu but was below her best last time when eighth over 1230m at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. MAIDO OKINI (3) has not won for a long while. Last raced on December 4 when beaten 5 lengths into sixth at this track over 1230m. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot return to winning ways. IZU JO HERO (9) strode forward early from his wide draw last start over 1230m at this track only to fade late and finish fifth. Solid top-three prospects.
