PAPAYA BROSE (8) was good two back but landed the knockout blow last start when winning again in a photo finish. He was slightly slow into stride last time but he looks a nice horse on the way up. Moreira sticks with him and he can continue to work through the grades. GOLD PATCH (4) was in good order before the break and has trialled well since his latest run with Purton on board. He has enough early speed to offset the tricky barrier and if he can pick up from where he left off, he'll be hard to reel in. CROSSBORDERPEGASUS (1) has been beaten as the race favourite his past couple, finishing 0.2L away last start after rattling home late. He's likely to get back again from the draw with Bowman reuniting, but he's good enough if the breaks come. FLYING FORTRESS (7) won't be far away if he gets some luck from the wide draw.
