Purton remains on board and while he has drawn wide again, his last start figure is among the best in this field. Can roll across again and go one better. SMART FAT CAT (10) was just fair over 1800m last start when he jumped the race favourite and finished 4.3L off the winner. Back to the mile is no issue, having raced well here three starts ago. Should get every chance from the draw and can make a statement. POLAR PATCH (9) steps up to the mile for the first time and that seems to be a big tick for these progeny of Tagaloa. Chau sticks, he maps for a kind run and should get his chance if good enough. SO YOU WILL (2) comes back in grade today and makes plenty of appeal for the successful Moreira and Fownes combo.
