CITY GOLD BANNER (2) was far too good in his Hong Kong debut, settling back but running over the top of his rivals to win impressively. He's won a trial since that effort 27 days ago and this looks to shape similarly with Purton remaining in the saddle. He can continue his winning run. SIGHT HERMOSO (4) missed as the $2.60 favourite here last time out, closing strongly to be 0.5L off the winner. Drawing wider suits for the straight course and Avdulla knows him well. Can sit a little closer this time around a forward showing is on the cards. PI LEGEND (11) will appreciate drawing out wide down the straight course after a solid performance at Happy Valley last time out. Can sit up on the pace out wide and his best form will see him hard to run down. SPARKLING FELLOW (12) just missed last time out in a photo finish and he drops a stack of weight as he rises in grade. Watch for him flashing late.
