RUN RUN SMART (1) disappointed two back but bounced back to form last time out, missing by just 0.3L at this track and trip. He's trialled well since then as well and the claim of Yuen comes in handy. Can roll froward from the wide draw and prove tough to run down. FORZA TORO (2) was rather plain two back before a better run last time out when being very slowly into stride. He was still slow to step at the trials, but got his ticket at his latest heat most recently. The start is the big query, but if things work out favourably, he showed last start he's right up to this. SOLID CAR (4) finished off strongly from the back of the pack to miss by 4.5L when resuming from a freshen over 1200m. The rise in trip can see him sit a little closer in the run and with improvement on the cards, he can feature in the finish. NINJA DERBY (12) boasts a strong fresh record and is not to be discounted from a good draw.
