SOLID STATE (2) missed as a $1.5 favourite last start when unable to catch the winner, though out to 1200m looks right up his alley. He's a speedy customer and with Purton on board, he makes plenty of appeal. Ticks plenty of boxes and can bounce back to winning ways. LUCY IN THE SKY (3) arrives race-fit after putting Chill Buddy away by just under two lengths as a well-supported favourite. Drawn out this time, but it's hard to knock what he did there and he won't be far away. PACKING GLORY (10) resumes off a CL4 win and has never missed a place in three runs at this track and distance, so he has genuine upside if ready to go fresh on the back of a couple of nice trials. BUNTA BABY (5) returned from a break with a solid fifth, winding up late at the end of 1000m at Happy Valley after settling well back. Solid top-three hope.
