ASK GAMBARE (7) finished fifth when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found a couple better over 1700m at this track, beaten only 1.75 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Should bet at top and looks close to a win. RIVER SONIC (4) broke his maiden last start over 2400m at Hakodate Dirt, scoring by 1.75 lengths. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade.
