Finished third in the NHK Mile Cup at Gr 1 level last prep which is an outstanding form reference. Looks the one they have to beat. UMBRAIL (6) has not raced since finishing less than three lengths from the winner in the Gr 2 Fuji Stakes over this distance at Tokyo on 18 October. Proven at this level and if on-song will be very hard to stop. VIP DAISY (9) is first-up since a respectable effort in the Gr 1 Shuka Sho over 2000m at Kyoto nine weeks ago. Goes well at the mile and is right in this contest. BOND GIRL (7) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when 11th, beaten 6 lengths, over 2200m in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Kyoto after she got a long way back. Will be tough to beat in this company.
