ARRONDI (10) made progress last time out, finishing 3.5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 2400m at Hanshin after being in the firing line on the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. KING SQUALL (8) is back after a break of 11 weeks. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 2000m at Sapporo. One of the genuine hopes in the race. WIN DAISY (4) turned in a fine effort to win by 0.8 lengths at this course and distance last start in a far better run. Taking on a better line-up this time but she is good enough to play a major role. PAO DE ACUCAR (1) has a moderate winning strike-rate but impressed when returning from a break last time at this track, finishing third and only 2 lengths from the winner at the end of 2200m. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role.
