DRAGON BALDR (6) sets the benchmark after winning his Chukyo 2yo NEWCOMER over 2000m as a short odds-on favourite, with the manner of the run backed up by a proven record at today's distance and Yuga Kawada staying aboard. GOIN TO NOVA (4) has a sharp counter-claim, having put away Lux Alcard by two and a half lengths on debut at Chukyo, and the closing stages of that win suggested there is still upside to come. HO O WORLD (2) was made short odds-on at Chukyo and did enough to win by a nose over 1600m, so the talent is there, though this asks a different question at 2000m. PORTE BLEUE (3) brings a dominant Kokura debut win by three and a half lengths, and if he returns in the same order after four months away he has the substance to be a genuine winning chance.
