SALTO VELOCE (1) has the clearest exposed form, having been placed in two of three starts and beaten a nose at this track when sent out an odds-on favourite last start. He has already placed at the distance and gets the chance to turn consistent maiden form into a win. ELDER KRONE (7) has not yet won in four runs, but his last-start fourth at Kyoto had merit as he picked up nicely in the straight, and the prior Hanshin effort also showed he can finish off. The first try at 1400m is the query, though his profile is still one of the stronger ones. COME TRUE (4) is third-up, was placed on debut at this track, and was only beaten just under two lengths at Niigata Dirt last start despite not threatening. CANDY LICHT (8) was plain late on debut at Tokyo, but she was respected in betting, drops out of NEWCOMER company and has enough upside to be treated as a live danger rather than dismissed on one run.
