Only appeared once when last in work and made jumps debut with a maiden steeplechase (2750m) win at Fukushima, getting home by 3 lengths. Set to run well again while fresh. LUDOVICUS (2) made a strong return from a layoff last time out in a steeplechase (3110m) at Hanshin, finishing second when partnered by today's jockey Sho Ueno. Has ability and strips fitter. Worth including. LORD LIBERACION (7) returned from a spell last start and was on debut over the jumps. Did a good job and scored by one length in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin. Can measure up again. CHIC (12) was impressive last time when he scored in a maiden steeplechase (2910m) at Kyoto. Hard to fault on that most recent effort.
