AOI EAGLE (1) did a great job to score by 3 lengths over today's course and distance last start in a much improved run. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of another big run. PLACEBO (7) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 2100m at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Worth noting Yamato Ishikawa goes aboard. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. GERALDO BAROWS (3) finished 1.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1870m at Sonoda a month ago. Steps up in journey today. Strong top-three chance. JO ESPOIR (4) returned from a spell last start with a strong win by 0.8 lengths over 1800m at Funabashi. Open to plenty of improvement and is among the better chances.
