PEJIBAYE (1) missed the start and then worked hard in the run, ending up falling out the back to be well beaten as the race favourite. Happy to put that run behind him and expect him to bounce back. He's been placed at this track and trip previously and he can notch up his second career win. CLOUD NINE (3) disappointed over 1000m two back but returned to his best last time when finding one better at this track and trip. Has the speed to roll across from out wide and if he can find the front, he'll be very hard to run down. PHOENIX LIGHT (9) has been finishing strongly his past couple and ticks plenty of boxes. Drawn well today and can play a leading role once again. WINNING CHAMPION (12) is better than he showed last time out after leading here two back in a strong performance. Carries no weight here and has to be included.
