ROMANTIC GLADIATOR (7) has taken a while to find form this prep but the last run was a good sign, working home well to be beaten half a length over this course and distance. Draws the fence and Purton goes on for the first time so there is plenty to like about his prospects. ALL ROUND WINNER (4) settled back in the field then finished too well for Romantic Gladiator here last time out. Meets him 2.5kgs worse for a 0.5 length margin so the task is harder. Does like racing here though and cannot be dismissed. FIVEFORTWO (1) easily took out a similar race here two back then had a six-week break before a midfield finish most recently. Can return to peak form with that last run under the belt. PRAY FOR JUSTICE (6) has been kept fresh since a sound return over 1400m at Sha Tin a month ago. On trial at this trip but is lightly raced and has plenty of upside. IGOR STRAVINSKY (3) struggled in a better race last start. Can bounce back in this more suitable assignment.
