ARDE KINGDOM (5) has been freshened since being narrowly beaten last time, finishing second over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Consistent colt who placed at his only other third-up run. Overdue a maiden win. OPTIMO (9) was beaten just a head last start and landed his first top-three finish in the process at Kyoto Dirt over 1400m. Looks close to a win and gets his chance in this suitable contest. OKEN BLOOD (13) has started twice, missing the frame on debut then doing a better job to finish second last time, beaten half a length over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt. Sits handy in the run. One of the better credentialled runners. JA NALIA (12) finished 2.75 lengths away in fourth after being in the firing line on the turn at his last appearance over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt on February 7. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race.
