JOY NINE (6) is the one to beat after improving sharply into fourth at Funabashi last start, beaten five lengths by Siam Holo I Mua after being near the top of betting. She had been unwanted on debut, so the second-run lift reads well in a race with limited exposed depth, and she also has the recent edge over Coreles Spirit. CORELES SPIRIT (8) was fifth in that same race, beaten eight lengths, but did attract some market support and has scope to keep improving third-up. LIBRO BOA (5) comes through a different 1000m debut, finishing fifth behind Presto Earth after settling rearward, and the extra 200m gives her a chance to work into the minor money if she begins cleanly. HARUKANO HARU (9) resumes after three months and has to put a heavy debut defeat behind her, though the return to 1200m and Norifumi Mikamoto booking keep her in the place mix.

About Funabashi Racecourse
Funabashi Racecourse in Japan’s Chiba prefecture overlooks Tokyo Bay. Run by the Chiba Horse Racing Association, the racecourse was established in 1950 and is currently undergoing major renovations, due for completion in 2024. The track has an outer circumference of 1400 metres.
