MEISHO GEKIRIN (4) has not appeared since he was confidently backed and ran on strongly late when finished eighth at his first jumps appearance in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at Nakayama on April 4. Further improved and sure to run well this time. ALVIA (3) did fairly well when he finished second in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata two runs back. Franked that form when just 8 lengths away in third last time out in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin. In the mix on current form. MEISHO HALE (8) has finished outside the top-three in two outings this campaign. Ninth fresh resuming in a flat race at Kokura Dirt then tackled the jumps most recently and was fifth in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at this track. Can do better than recent efforts. GROUND BEAT (2) returns for a new yard today and making jumps debut. Has ability and is a big watch first-up. Ideally placed to perform well.
