MEADOW VALLEY STAR (8) produced a good effort at his latest appearance to get home by a narrow margin over 2660m at Hamilton on January 11. Meets a comparable field so he is capable of getting the job done again. CHAMPAGNE CHARLEY (4) finished eighth two runs ago then broke and finished a long last over 2100m at Geelong at the latest appearance. This doesn't look as hard so he is capable of turning things around. JOHNS BOY (7) disappointed last time when sixth over 2100m at Geelong. Can do a lot better so worth considering.
