VIN NUMBER (2) had a tough draw on the back row when tackling the Canberra Cup last start. Came from wider barriers than this to place in her previous two outings so looks nicely served by this draw. SHADES OF MIKI (4) faded when well in the market last start at Menangle but won the last time he raced at this venue and goes very well at this distance with three wins and two placings from seven attempts. Capable of playing a major role. MIKIBEQUICK (6) should be at his peak for this. Beaten only 3.8m when fourth at Menangle at the latest appearance and his record at this distance is encouraging. SCARED STIFF (3) has yet to fire this time in but will be fitter and should get every chance from a favourable draw.
