MACHO MAN (5) won at Addington two runs ago when leading all of the way as the favourite but couldn't repeat the dose at his latest appearance over 1980m at Addington, beaten 8 metres. Has the class to take this out. JASPRIT TROUBLE (1) finished in the money two runs ago then placed second last time over 2200m at Wingatui, finishing 2.25 metres from the winner. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Meets a comparable field and he can figure in the finish. ROCK LOBSTER (17) is looming as a real threat after a better effort last start, finishing third at Geraldine over 2500m after getting checked and then as a result breaking in the early running. VAL THORENS (8) is next in line but might need a few good breaks from an awkward draw.
