WAMBOYNE MACHETE (9) kicked off his campaign with two nice wins at Newcastle before stepping up in grade but performing well for fourth at Listed level in the Breeders Challenge Eastern Region 3CG Final at Menangle. Draws on the second row but the drop in class can see him return to winning form. LOCKITINEDDY (7) was in the market when resuming from this barrier but copped a check and broke so was far from disgraced in finishing fifth at this venue. Fitter so can progress off that. THE COUNTY SHERIFF (8) draws on the back row but might find this easier than last week's attempt and was a winner at this circuit and distance last month. KINGSTON RAINBOW (6) led in a last-start win by 1.8 metres here. Draws wider but could be competitive again.
