BELLAMYS BLAST (9) resumes after seven months having shown promise at the maiden campaign, winning over this distance at Goulburn on debut and placing in the rich APG Sydney Sales Graduate Final at Menangle when last seen. May need a bit of luck from this draw but has been readied with two city trials and is likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. MIDNIGHT HAZE (1) looks close to a win after coming from wider barriers to place in her last two outings at Newcastle. She should enjoy the favours from the ace draw. LOCHINVAR TIGER (8) cops a tougher draw but led in a last-start maiden win by a neck at Newcastle and has some upside. FORTUNA STRIDE (6) is open to improvement after finishing fourth first-up at Goulburn last time out.
