There was merit in the latest performance of ERROL FIN (1) when he came from a wider barrier in a higher-graded race. Should be at peak fitness now and gets his chance from the ace draw. QUICKSHIFT GIRL (10) continued a strong run of recent form and added to a good record at this venue in scoring by 2.6m last week. Draws on the back row this time but she is going well so with even luck she is capable of getting the job done again. DUTY OF CARE (4) has been racing at Menangle of late so looks well placed returning to a circuit and distance where he owns strong records. Can measure right up. WHATABOYJACK (3) hasn't been too far off the placings of late and draws to be competitive.
