Selections: 10-7-1-5

MCBART (10) was well fancied when attempting a longer trip in the Canberra Cup last start but tired in the closing stages to finish fourth. Draws widest but has won both times he has raced over the mile here so is suited by the distance drop. PARTY CENTRAL (7) started a hot favourite in his first outing for Jason Grimson on the back of some slick trials but manners let him down. Strikes at 50 per cent at this distance and is worth another chance. CARBINEER (1) is a newcomer to the Day yard from Queensland and the ace draw gives him every chance to make an immediate impact. SURF ACE (5) has been ticking along well and is in the mix after going under by only 3m from this barrier last week.
