An early break brought the unbeaten run of FRANCO NICKELBACK (13) to an end last start but he was showing good promise prior and has won a trial since. He is two from two at this distance so can overcome the tricky draw to return to to the winners' list. LAMBRO MACH (1) broke after copping a check last start but had looked close to a win when placed in his previous three starts off a let-up, all of them from wider or second row barriers. Should get his chance from the ace draw. EYENEEDTHAT (4) races well at this distance and is in the mix following a fourth at his most recent appearance at Hamilton when he worked but boxed on. SPIRIT OF SAHARA (5) must be considered after he missed narrowly as runner-up at Wagga three weeks ago.
