ALTA BAYAMO (4) was responsible for a far better performance at his latest appearance, finishing second over 1690m at Shepparton. Won't find this any harder and he can take this out without surprising. SPIRIT OF SAHARA (8) finished second last time out, beaten a nose, in a nice return to form at Shepparton over 2190m when second-up from a break. Shouldn't spend a penny from this draw and the sprint lane may come in handy. Primary contender in a similar race. ANIMADO (9) is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish third at Shepparton over 2190m. Genuine threat. CHIRRIPO (10) disappointed last time but is a chance based on a good win over 1690m at Shepparton two runs back.
