ARUM (9) had a favourable gate and was too good at Pinjarra two runs ago. Drew wide last start and was never a genuine threat, beaten 11 metres into fifth at this track over 2130m. Interesting to see what unfolds from this wide draw but rates a primary contender if anywhere near his best. ROCKSTAR QUALITY (12) drew wide last start and was easily accounted for, beaten 70 metres into ninth here over 2130m. Meets a similar quality field and is good enough to win a race of this calibre. EASTERN ADVANCE (8) is in the mix following a fourth at his most recent appearance over 2130m at this venue. One for the exotics players. DOUBLE THE ANTE (11) resumes. Last appeared when a modest 11th over 2130m at this course seven months ago. Can run a better race while fresh.
