MAD MONDAY (6) added to the picket fence last week when he came from the back row and raced three wide without cover before getting home by 2.2m at this circuit and distance. That made it five on the trot, four of those coming this campaign including the G2 Preux Chevalier two back. Big chance to grab another feature. GOLDEN LODE (5) has been terrific in finishing second in G1 races in his last two outings, charging home to miss by a head in the Nullabor then drawing on the back row but chasing well in the Fremantle Cup. Back on the front line and a win looks imminent. RUNKLE CRUNCH (11) did some work and faded as favourite in the Preux Chevalier last start but had recorded two wins and a second from his other three starts this time in so is worth another chance. DOUBLE PARKED (12) is a newcomer to the Gary Hall Junior yard from NZ. Last seen three-and-a-half months ago when fourth at Alexandra Park. Draws on the back row but must be kept safe.
