BROUGHT TO LIGHT (3) did a good job for third when tackling some strong rivals in the Manea Classic at Bunbury last start, beaten 5 metres. That continued his strong form and he should enjoy an economical run from this draw. Yet to win here but did run second in the Golden Slipper last season so can find the winners' list. SPITFIRE (8) was only 2.5m behind Brought To Light in the Manea Classic and did well to finish better than midfield in Group races in his previous two attempts here. Draws wide but can measure up in this line-up. OPAL HUNTER (7) was held up from the back row last week, his third placing from his last four attempts at this circuit and distance. Looks close to a win. Last-start placegetter UP AND ALIVE (1) has been ticking along well from wider barriers so must be considered from the ace draw.
