WICKED MITZI (10) settled handy then found the lead but but couldn't finish the race off and could only manage fifth last start over 2150m at Bendigo, that effort coming after a win at Bendigo the run before. Hard to know where she gets from this slightly awkward draw. Has the class to take care of this field. SHAQ (6) was expected to do a lot more last time out when fifth, beaten 22 metres, over 2190m at Shepparton. Form prior to that was solid, including a very close fourth over 2150m at Bendigo two starts ago. Meets a comparable field and he is capable of a much better performance. CHOGI (8) is the next best after finishing third over 1790m at Mildura last time out. INTERPRETATION (7) disappointed last time but is a chance based on a good win over 1650m at Bendigo two runs back.
