THE GOLDEN HOOK (7) has been racing well, filling a top-five position at his last seven starts including a third most recently at Shepparton over 1690m. Meets a similar line up so he can play a significant role. ALWAYS ON SAFARI (9) finished second last start, beaten 10 metres at Stawell over 2180m. Has ability and should be right in the finish. SWEET MARION (2) is in the mix at her first run since finishing sixth over 1650m at Bendigo six months ago. STYLISTIK (10) was in the money two starts ago then things went wrong last start when he broke and finished 22 metres away in fourth over 1790m at Mildura. May just need a bit of luck at some point from this difficult draw. Live chance in a similar assignment.
