HE'S TOUGH (8) has joined the Purdon/Phelan yard since he last raced at Manawatu. Has to contend with a very wide draw but came from the back row to score three back at Central Southland. He is up to winning this with even luck. BILLY THE KID (6) looks close to a win after placing in two of his last three starts at this circuit and distance. Produced a very good effort last time when third and just a neck from the winner. Draws wider but can make an impact again. DEAR GOD (4) is improving with racing this time in and is looming as a threat after a good effort last start, finishing third at this venue. JACCKA OPA (3) can be more competitive with the aid of a low draw.
