MAGICAL MAX (2) was far from disgraced after pushing forward from a wide barrier last time. Placed in two of his previous three outings and should get every chance from a low draw. SOFIA ROSE (7) has been tackling higher-graded races of late so is better placed. May need a bit of luck negotiating a wide starting position but she was a big winner at this circuit and distance last month. ART JORDAN (8) draws wide but is looming as a real threat after back-to-back placings, last start finishing second at Motukarara. DOCTOR TIM (4) had no luck last start but recorded back-to-back placings prior so is worth another chance.
