CHEEKY RED (5) produced a good effort when in the money at this venue two runs ago before coming from a wider barrier for a solid midfield finish last time. Certainly cannot be faulted after that last effort. Good enough to put himself in the winners' stall. LASA (6) is improving with racing this time in and could be ready to peak fourth up after he finished third last start at Motukarara. Expect him to pose a serious challenge. HUGO (10) placed at this venue three back. Player if he gets the gaps from the second line. THE HIGHLANDER (8) draws a little wide but did a good job to place two back at Ashburton.
