<p>Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski is one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time and one of Australia’s most famous sporting icons.</p> <p>He is the former UFC’s Featherweight Champion and held that title from 2019 (when he first defeated Max Holloway at UFC 245) until 2024.&nbsp;</p> <p>During this tenure he also unsuccessfully challenged Islam Makhachev for the UFC’s Lightweight Championship on two separate occasions.</p> <p>He has an MMA record of 26-4-0, 26 wins, 4 losses and 0 draws. Before the UFC he fought in and was champion of the Australian Fighting Championship (AFC) Featherweight division.</p> <p>Volkanovski grew up playing Rugby League in New South Wales before moving into fighting.
