Porto vs PSV Prediction and Betting Odds

Perfect in Portugal but pointless in Europe, Porto hosts PSV at the Dragão both chasing their first Champions League win of the campaign.
Porto have won all eight of their Primeira Liga matches this season, yet they walk into Matchday 3 of the Champions League without a single point on the board.
Francesco Farioli has already said PSV "has to be one of the matches" where his side start collecting, and with the Dutch visitors arriving off a stoppage-time loss at ADO Den Haag and missing three centre forwards, the timing looks handy for the hosts.
Before we get to our full preview, here are the key details:
- Competition: UEFA Champions League, league phase Matchday 3
- Venue: Estádio do Dragão, Porto
- Date: Wednesday 21 October 2026 (Tuesday 20 October in Portugal)
- Start Time: 6:00am AEDT

Porto vs PSV Form and Head to Head
Porto's last five, most recent first, read L W W W L: a 3-2 loss at Real Betis, a 2-1 win at Marítimo, a 3-1 home win over Benfica, a 4-1 win at Casa Pia and a 2-0 home loss to Manchester City.
They top the league on 24 points, scoring 20 and conceding just four, but Europe has been a different story with five goals leaked in two games.
PSV's last five read L L W L W: a 2-1 loss at ADO Den Haag, a 1-0 loss at RB Leipzig, a 2-0 win over Heerenveen, a 3-2 loss at Twente and a 4-1 win over Sparta.
They sit third in the Eredivisie, four points off leaders Feyenoord, have lost their last three away games and have one point from two Champions League outings.
These clubs have met four times, all in Europe's top competition, with Porto winning two, PSV one and one draw. The last meeting came in the 1992/93 group stage, when Porto won 1-0 in Eindhoven, while PSV's last trip to Porto ended 2-2.
Porto vs PSV Team News
Porto are without winger William Gomes (ankle) and Vasco Sousa, but Samu is building up after a long injury layoff, while Oskar Pietuszewski is pushing for a start after his late winner at Marítimo.
PSV are much worse off up top. Peter Bosz confirmed Ricardo Pepi and Sam Lammers won't make the trip, with Alassane Pléa also sidelined, while Jerdy Schouten and Paul Wanner remain on the injury list.
Ruben van Bommel misses out, while Guus Til is travelling with the team and is expected to be available for play after recovering from his heavy fall at ADO. Sven Mijnans' red card was domestic, so he should also be available.
Porto vs PSV Betting Markets
Porto look set to start as favourites in the head to head market given their home record and PSV's wobbles, with the draw and a PSV win sitting at bigger prices.
Goals markets are worth a look too, because both teams have scored in five of Porto's last six competitive games and PSV have conceded in four of their last five, so both teams to score and the totals line around 2.5 goals will draw plenty of interest.
Punters keen on Porto can also look at the Asian handicap, while the anytime goalscorer market throws up Samu as an option off his Betis cameo.

Porto vs PSV Prediction: Our Pick
We're backing Porto to win. Farioli's side have won all eight of their league games this season, scoring 20 and conceding four, and at the Dragão the only blemish so far is that Champions League defeat to City.
PSV, meanwhile, have lost three of their last four in all competitions, including their last three on the road, and now they have to do it without Pepi, Lammers and Pléa leading the line.
Add in the pressure on Porto to get off zero, with Farioli openly targeting this game, and the hosts have every reason to come out swinging.
The risk is Porto's defending in Europe, with five goals conceded across two matches, and PSV still carry creativity through Ivan Perišić and Mijnans, so this might not be a comfortable night for the hosts.
If a tight European tie like this one has you wary of the draw, it is worth knowing what draw no bet means before you commit.
