PSG vs Barcelona Prediction and Betting Odds

PSG vs Barcelona

One of the ties of the week, PSG will host Barcelona in Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League.

The two European giants will clash at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, October 21, with kick-off at 6:00am AEDT, and this could well be worth getting up early for.

If you are setting an early alarm, our guide on how to watch the Champions League in Australia covers where and when to tune in.

Quick Picks

Our pick: PSG to win

Value bet: ‘Over 3.5 Goals’

Long shot: BTTS not hitting

Betting Preview

These two sit first and second in the UEFA Champions League, League Phase standings after two matches, both boasting 100% win records.

PSG are first by virtue of goals scored, having netted 10 to Barca’s 9. Both clubs have been defensively strong, conceding three and two, respectively, giving them a goal difference of seven.

The French side scored six in MW1, while Barca scored five (against Slovan Bratislava and Feyenoord, respectively, in home games).

Luis Enrique’s side are entering off the back of a demolition job against Manchester City, defeating the English side 4-2 despite City having more of the ball and more attempts. Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha scored in the first half, while Maghnes Akliouche netted in the second.

Barcelona navigated their own tricky away tie too, as Hansi Flick’s side dominated Galatasaray in Istanbul.

Despite going one goal down, they won 4-1 after a goal from João Cancelo just before the break, and three goals in a 15-minute second-half onslaught from Fermín López, Anthony Gordon, and Karim Adeyemi.

They outclassed the Turkish side in all aspects of the game, limiting them to just two shots and having almost two-thirds of the ball.

Betting Markets to Watch

Ahead of their 15th meeting against each other, Barcelona have been made slight favourites. The Spanish side have won seven of their last nine UEFA Champions League matches (D1 L1), and have scored at least four goals in five of their eight games in 2026.

Perhaps surprisingly, PSG could offer better value to win. They have won the last two meetings between these sides. Additionally, PSG are unbeaten in their last 12 games in this competition (W8 D4).

History suggests there should be value in the goals market. The 'Over 2.5 Goals' market has hit in each of Barcelona's last 18 Champions League, League Phase matches.

Barcelona have scored over four goals, in four back-to-back matches in the league phase of this competition, while there have been 57 goals in 15 meetings between these teams; 3.8 per game on average. This average makes the ‘Over 3.5 Goals’ offer better value.

No side's Champions League games have produced more goals since the start of 2024-25 than PSG's (134), with Barcelona's (130) next.

Ousmane Dembélé as an anytime goalscorer has value. He scored in both of his UEFA Champions League games against his former club.

Lamine Yamal to score or assist might also be interesting, as he has been involved in 5 goals across 2 UEFA Champions League appearances (1 goal, 4 assists).

Our Prediction

Check the latest PSG vs Barcelona betting odds at Sportsbet.

Our prediction is for a PSG win, and for there to be plenty of goals with the attacking talent on display.

A long shot is the BTTS not hitting. Both teams have conceded in each of the fixtures they have played so far, but they do also have sturdy defences and could turn up in their biggest game of the competition so far.
