LASK vs Liverpool Prediction and Betting Tips

Liverpool were beaten 3-0 at Anfield by Manchester City on Sunday, and they did it without Alexander Isak or Cody Gakpo. Both came back injured from international duty, and Andoni Iraola is assessing them day to day before the trip to Linz.
That's the main question for this one. LASK have their own problems, and they're bigger.
Quick Picks
Our Pick: Liverpool to win
Alternative Pick: Both teams to score: No

LASK Have Lost Their Edge
The Austrian champions needed a remarkable comeback just to reach the league phase, losing 3-0 at Celtic before winning the return 5-1 after extra time.
Since then the results have dried up. LASK lost 1-0 at AEK Athens on Matchday 1, went down 2-0 at home to Rapid Wien on Sunday, and are winless in four in all competitions.
Dietmar Kühbauer's side will have a full Raiffeisen Arena behind them. But a team that has failed to score in two of its last four is a big ask against Liverpool, even a depleted one.
- Competition: UEFA Champions League, league phase, Matchday 2
- Venue: Raiffeisen Arena, Linz
- Date: Thursday 15 October 2026
- Kick-off: 3:45am AEDT (6:45pm local)
- Form (last five, latest first): LASK L-D-L-L-W, Liverpool L-W-W-D-W
Liverpool's Problem Is Up Front
Iraola's side started the league phase with a 2-1 win over Atlético Madrid, Szoboszlai and Mac Allister scoring.
The attack has been the issue in the league, with only seven goals in six Premier League games, and the City defeat showed how thin it looks without Isak and Gakpo.
Liverpool vs LASK has happened twice before, both in the 2023-24 Europa League group stage. Liverpool won 3-1 in Linz and 4-0 at Anfield.

LASK vs Liverpool Prediction
We're backing Liverpool to win. LASK haven't scored in the league phase yet, their form has fallen away since the Celtic tie, and Liverpool won both previous meetings by at least two goals.
Our alternative is both teams to score: No. LASK's attack has stalled, and Liverpool kept clean sheets in two of their last five.
The risk is that Liverpool's attack stays blunt if Isak and Gakpo both miss out, and a 0-0 in Linz isn't out of the question.
Even so, Liverpool's midfield has enough quality to create one or two clear chances against a side low on confidence, and we expect them to take one.
