Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Prediction and Betting Odds

Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Prediction

Fenerbahce haven't won a league match at RAMS Park since May 2024.

They head back there on Monday night without Nathan Ake or Marco Asensio, still stinging from a 6-0 hiding at Aston Villa, and with Turkish media reporting that Kartal's future could ride on the result.

Galatasaray top the table after eight rounds, three points ahead of Fenerbahce, so a home win would open up a six-point gap on their fiercest rivals before November.

Before we get to our full preview, here are the key details:

  • Competition: Turkish Super Lig, Round 9
  • Venue: RAMS Park, Istanbul
  • Date: Tuesday, 27 October 2026 (Monday night in Istanbul)
  • Start Time: 5:30am AEDT

Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Form and Head to Head

Galatasaray have six wins, a draw and a loss from their eight league games. The one loss was a bad one, a 4-0 thrashing at Trabzonspor in September, but Okan Buruk's side have recovered well in the league since.

They beat Kasimpasa 3-1 and ground out a 1-0 win at Genclerbirligi, then went to France on Wednesday and won 4-2 at Lille in the Champions League, with Victor Osimhen among the scorers.

Fenerbahce are third on 16 points and have the best goal difference in the league, so there's nothing wrong with their attack domestically.

Europe has been a different story, though. They conceded six at Villa Park and then let a 2-0 lead slip at home to Slavia Prague on Tuesday, giving up the equaliser in the 90th minute.

Last season's derbies were shared around. It was 1-1 in the league at Fenerbahce's ground, Fenerbahce won the Super Cup final 2-0 in January, and Galatasaray won 3-0 at RAMS Park in April.

Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Team News

Fenerbahce are short at the back. Ake strained his hamstring against Slavia and is expected to miss around three weeks.

Asensio has had knee surgery and faces about three months out, and Mert Muldur has only just returned to individual training after a meniscus operation.

Galatasaray have their own problems out wide. Rafael Leao strained his groin at Genclerbirligi and is pushing for minutes off the bench, with Galatasaray set to decide on his fitness before Monday.

Baris Alper Yilmaz, the man most likely to replace him, played through pain at Lille and needs tests before he's cleared. Osimhen is fit and available, and he's the player Fenerbahce's patched-up defence will worry about most.

Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Betting Markets

If you want to understand what the win draw win market means, this is the obvious place to start, with Galatasaray the home side in form and Fenerbahce turning up in a fragile mood.

Both teams to score deserves a look too, because Galatasaray have conceded in five of their eight league games and Fenerbahce can score goals, with Vedat Muriqi leading their league scoring on seven goals.

Osimhen in the anytime goalscorer market makes sense after he scored at Lille, and with Atilla Karaoglan refereeing a fiery Istanbul derby, the cards markets are worth a look as well.

Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce Prediction: Our Pick

We're backing Galatasaray to win. They're unbeaten in four league games at RAMS Park this season with three wins and a draw, and Fenerbahce haven't won a league match there since May 2024.

Last April's 3-0 result shows how one-sided this fixture can be when Galatasaray get on top early.

Fenerbahce's defence is the bigger worry of the two. They've conceded eight goals in their last two Champions League games, and losing Ake leaves Kartal reshuffling his back line for the biggest game of the season so far.

Add the pressure on the manager and the noise RAMS Park makes on derby night, and it all points to the home side.

The main risk is fatigue. Galatasaray played in France a day after Fenerbahce's midweek game, so they've had one less day to recover, and Fenerbahce's attack is good enough to punish a tired defence.

With that risk in a volatile derby, it is worth understanding what draw no bet means before settling on the result angle.
