What is Bet With Mates? 

It is a shared betting group feature created by Sportsbet. It allows multiple users (who each have valid, personal Sportsbet accounts) to contribute an equal buy-in amount into a central group wallet. Every member has an equal share in the action, and anyone in the group can place a wager using the group funds.

How does the Bet With Mates Admin work? 

Every group requires an Administrator (the person who creates the group). The group Admin names the group, and sets the buy in amount, how much and when to Top Up as you go. 

The Admin also decides when to open betting for the first time or resume betting after a Top Up. The admin cannot change or cancel a group bet. There is one Admin per group at all times.

Bets cannot be placed until the group admin chooses to open group betting. Until then, betting is paused while the admin waits for members to join. Betting is also paused when a top up is requested, up until an admin resumes betting.

How do I Invite Friends to Join my Group? 

When the Admin sets up a new Bet With Mates group, a unique 6-digit joining code is generated. The Admin simply sends this code via SMS, WhatsApp, or messenger to their mates, who use it to securely join the group via the Sportsbet app.

There are limits on Bet With Mates groups however. Groups can only have between 2 and 100 members and a member may only participate in a maximum of five groups at a time.

How do I Join an Existing Bet With Mates group? 

To join an already established group, you must receive the unique 6-digit invite code from the group's Administrator. Once you enter the code and pay the required buy-in amount from your personal account, you are officially in the syndicate.

Can we Chat Within the Bet With Mates Group? 

Yes. The feature includes an integrated chat function right inside the Sportsbet app. Members can communicate, react, comment on each other's bet slips, and agree on the group's betting protocols (the "Social Contract") before placing a wager.
