After pulling off a miraculous one-point victory south of the border, the Queensland Maroons have forced a decider in this year’s Women’s State of Origin series.

The plucky Maroons now get to head home to Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville for Women’s State of Origin Game 3, but you can bet the Blues will be more than ready for the decider.

After losing the game and the chance to wrap up the series in front of their own fans, NSW will surely be desperate to do the same to Queensland in front of their supporters.

So, can Queensland, with momentum and home ground advantage now on their side finish the job? Or will the girls from down south spoil the party and get their hands on the shield like most expected them to last time out in Newcastle?

For the latest news, lineups, odds, predictions and betting tips for the decider, check out our Women’s State of Origin predictions and Game 3 betting tips below.

Queensland Maroons*

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. The Maroon masterstroke to switch Ali Brigginshaw to seven paid dividends last time out, expect to see her line up there again in Game 3.

Injury will force some minor changes for Queensland with Sienna Lofipo out of the decider after picking up a knee injury in Game 2.

Don’t be surprised to see Sophie Holyman added to the bench either for some more firepower in the middle for the Maroons.

Women’s State of Origin Game 3 Predictions and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head (H2H)

Despite winning away last time out, the Maroons enter this clash at home as the slight underdogs.

They made the most of the wet and wild conditions in Newcastle to scrap their way to a memorable one-point victory.

However, on a dry faster track, the Blues superior attacking quality should shine through allowing them to win the game, the series and the shield.

Predicted winner: New South Wales.

First Try Scorer

After being switched to halfback in the last game, Brisbane, Australia and Queensland captain Ali Brigginshaw was far more involved.

We are tipping this trend to continue, as one of the best female players in the world, Brigginshaw is built for occasions like this, particularly in front of a sold-out home crowd.

If you feel like backing a Blue instead, consider going with one of their outside backs as they’ll be a nice dry track that should favour ball movement and speed. We recommend Tiana Penitani.

Betting tip: Ali Brigginshaw or Tiana Penitani first try scorer.

Over/Under

It’s almost impossible this clash will be as much of a grind as Game 2 in the pouring rain of Newcastle, but we still expect it to be close and hard fought.

Will so much on the line and with these sides both so evenly matched, we doubt this one will blowout over the 33.5 points assigned to this market.

Betting tip: Under total match points (33.5).
