Gold Coast Titans vs St. George Illawarra Dragons Prediction – Round 4 2026

27/03/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

A battle of winless teams concludes NRL Round 4 with the Gold Coast Titans hosting the St. George Illawarra Dragons at Cbus Super Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Dragons have held the lead in all three of their losses to start the season, most recently going down 30-20 to the Eels at CommBank Stadium. They’ll be confident in breaking the duck this week, having won five of their past six encounters with the Titans.

Meanwhile, Gold Coast has shown some improvement over the last two weeks after a disastrous Round 1 outing but is still yet to put together a consistent 80-minute performance.

Josh Hannay has elected for an unchanged lineup with Jayden Campbell’s electric return a promising sign for the Titans heading into this clash.

With the loss of both Couchman boys, Blake Lawrie moves to prop, and Hamish Stewart starts at lock, while Hame Sele, Jacob Halangahu and Loko Pasifiki Tonga join St. George Illawarra’s interchange.

For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of this battle at the bottom, check out our Titans vs Dragons tips and predictions below.

Titans vs Dragons Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

This is ‘Spoon Bowl’ come early, with both the Titans and Dragons entering NRL Round 4 without a win in the 2026 NRL season.

Josh Hannay is still hunting for his first victory as Gold Coast Titans head coach after a winless opening three rounds.

While the new ownership group likely understands that rebuilding the Titans is a work in progress, this fixture represents a golden opportunity to get off the mark at home.

The Titans have shown flashes of potential, particularly in the pre-season, but have struggled for 80-minute consistency in the early rounds.

Facing a Dragons side that has similarly failed to impress, Hannay will be desperate to see his combinations finally click.

However, the Dragons present a significant physical challenge; they are generally the bigger side and will look to use brute strength to dominate the middle of the park.

If the Red V can win the collision battle and use their size advantage to overpower the Gold Coast, they should be able to grind out a victory. It’s set to be a desperate encounter where the loser could find themselves fighting to avoid the wooden spoon later in the season.

Betting tip: St George Illawarra Dragons.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Livewire Jayden Campbell once again proves to be the only real highlight for the Gold Coast at the moment.

Returning at halfback last week, he crossed for a quickfire double in his side’s loss to the Cowboys, showing his penchant for finding the tryline.

Campbell has also scored at least one try in each of his last three appearances and we’re tipping him to make it one in each of his last four and cross for the first meat pie of the day in this one.

Betting tip: Jayden Campbell.

Over/Under Prediction

Each of the last six matches between Gold Coast and St. George Illawarra at Cbus Super Stadium have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under (52.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

The home team has covered the line in six of the last seven matches between Gold Coast and St. George Illawarra.

Betting tip: Titans (-0.5) line.
