Gold Coast Titans vs Brisbane Broncos Prediction – Round 5 2026

02/04/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Gold Coast Titans will remain at home as they face off against rivals the Brisbane Broncos at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday night.

The Titans finally got on the board for 2026 after reversing a 14-6 deficit to overcome the Dragons 22-14 last week, giving Josh Hannay his first win at the club.

Meanwhile, the Broncos are coming off back-to-back victories, defeating the Dolphins 26-12 on the weekend to consolidate their position as a threat to repeat.

On the team front, Hannay has kept the same squad that got the job done over St. George Illawarra.

For Brisbane, Payne Haas comes straight back into the starting side after a brief setback kept him out of the win over the Dolphins.

Furthermore, Grant Anderson and Josiah Karapani are out, replaced by Gehamat Shibasaki and Jesse Arthars.

Brisbane won both meetings between these clubs last season, including a 26-14 result at this venue.

Titans vs Broncos Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Saturday night sees Cbus Super Stadium play host to an M1 Derby, as Brisbane head down the highway to face the Titans.

This will be Brisbane’s second all-Queensland affair in as many matches, after they saw off the Dolphins week at Suncorp Stadium.

Kotoni Staggs was particularly destructive in that one, and he could continue his case for a NSW Origin jumper with another try or two here.

That win against the Phins served as more than just a representative advertising platform for Staggs, it also got his employers Premiership defence back on track.

Meanwhile, the Titans also picked up an important win last start, their first of the season.

While a win is a win, it did come against fellow cellar dwellers St George and with Brisbane building back to their best thanks to the likes of Staggs, Walsh and Reynolds, it should be straight back to the loser’s circle for the Titans here.

Betting tip: Brisbane Broncos.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Despite backing the Broncos for the win, we’re tipping a Titan for first try scorer.

Gold Coast flyer Jojo Fifita loves playing against the Broncos and has scored two or more tries in each of his last two appearances against Brisbane.

If he can find some space early, he’s every chance of being the first man over the try line in this one.

Betting tip: Jojo Fifita.

Over/Under Prediction

Four of Brisbane's last five away matches have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over (52.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

Brisbane has covered the line in each of their last seven matches when playing with a rest advantage.

Betting tip: Broncos (-12.5) line.
