Wests Tigers vs Canterbury Bulldogs Prediction – Round 13 2026
27/05/2026|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
The Wests Tigers will look to stay in touch with the top eight when they host the Canterbury Bulldogs at CommBank Stadium on Saturday.
The Tigers entered a second bye of the season after a 46-18 loss to Manly in Magic Round, extending their losing streak to three matches.
After beginning the campaign as one of the competition’s better defensive sides, Benji Marshall’s men have leaked 142 points across that losing stretch amid a growing injury list.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs returned to the winners list with an impressive 30-20 comeback victory over Melbourne last week, snapping a five-game skid.
Jahream Bula, Api Koroisau, Alex Twal and Heamasi Makasini are key inclusions for the Tigers. However, centres Patrick Herbert and Taylan May, along with winger Luke Laulilii, are all out.
Canterbury will be without Jacob Preston, while Stephen Crichton remains no certainty to back up from Origin after being named on the extended bench. Matt Burton has still been named in the starting side.
The Tigers won this matchup 28-14 late last season, can they repeat the dose here? For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of this match, check out our Tigers vs Bulldogs tips and predictions below.
Tigers vs Bulldogs Prediction and Betting Tips
Head-to-Head Prediction
After a promising start to the season, the cracks are starting to show for the Tigers, as injury and expectation begin to take their toll.
They’ve lost their last three in a row and each by substantial margins (the smallest being 24 points), which has their finals aspirations in tatters.
Speaking of finals aspirations in tatters, ladies and gentlemen, the Canterbury Bulldogs.
Touted as pre-season top four locks and potential premiership contenders, it only took a matter of weeks for Cameron Ciraldo’s side to unravel and crash to the bottom quarter of the ladder.
Still, they did produce an impressive comeback against the Storm last week (although that isn’t quite the feat it once was), so could this be the start of their revival?
Wests are carrying plenty of injury and if Doggies skipper Stephen Crichton makes it out of the Origin arena in one piece, they could be an astute value tip this weekend.
Betting tip: Canterbury Bulldogs.
First Try Scorer Prediction
If the Tigers want to get out of this rut, their main man at the back Bula is going to have to make his mark early.
Wests have made no secret of their desire to build a team around Jahream and it’s not hard to see why. He has scored at least one try in four of his last five appearances and is our tip for first try scorer here.
Betting tip: Jahream Bula.

Ten of the Wests Tigers' last 11 matches at CommBank Stadium have gone under the total match points line.
Betting tip: Under (48.5) total match points.
Line Prediction

Betting tip: Tigers (-1.5) line.
